Kerstin Anita Marianne Ekberg was born on September 29, 1931 in Malmo, Sweden. Growing up with seven brothers and sisters was not an adventure, but Anita's adventure began when she was elected Miss Sweden in 1950. She did not win the Miss Universe contest but she got a modeling contract in the United States. She quickly got a film contract with Howard Hughes's RKO that did not lead anywhere (but Anita herself has said that Hughes wanted to marry her). Instead, she started making movies with Universal, small roles that more often than not only required her to look beautiful. After five years in Hollywood, she found herself in Rome, where Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita (1960) meant her breakthrough. She stayed in Italy and made around 20 movies during the next ten years, some roles memorable, some to be forgotten. Her two marriages gave her a great deal of attention from the press. During the 1970s, the roles became less frequent, but she made a marvellous comeback with Fellini's Intervista (1987).
Anita Ekberg retired from acting in 2002 after 50 years in the motion picture industry. In December 2011, she was destitute following three months in a hospital with a broken thigh in Rimini, during which her home was robbed of jewelry and furniture, and her villa was badly damaged in a fire. Ekberg applied for help from the Fellini Foundation, which also found itself in difficult financial straits. She died at age 83 from complications of an enduring illness on January 11, 2015 at the clinic San Raffaele in Rocca di Papa, Italy. Ekberg had a new film project with exclusively female Italian producer "Le Bestevem", in which her character, as movie star, should have been recovered again as an icon of the silver screen, a project that was interrupted by her death.
Her funeral was held on January 14, 2015, at the Lutheran-Evangelical Christuskirche in Rome, after which her body was cremated and her remains were buried at the cemetery of Skanor Church in Sweden.- Julia Ragnarsson was born on 30 July 1992 in Malmö, Skåne län, Sweden. Mikael Salomon was born and grew up in Denmark. He is originally and primarily a cinematographer. The first feature film he shot was Fantasterne (1967) by Kirsten Stenbæk. After almost two decades as one of his country's finest in the field and only a few foreign productions, he then moved his life and his career to Hollywood. His work included smaller movies, but was led by Cameron's The Abyss (1989) and Spielberg's Always (1989), and Ron Howard's Far and Away (1992). In the mid-90s Mikael Salomon made another drastic career move: He exchanged his cinematographer career with that of the director's. He has stated, "I just thought it was time to try something new". He directed Reese Witherspoon in the adventure A Far Off Place (1993), Morgan Freeman and Christian Slater in the action thriller Hard Rain (1998), and different television work, especially the ever-important pilots. Steven Spielberg gave Salomon a qualitatively stronger project than the bulk of his direction work with two episodes of 2001's Band of Brothers (2001). Salomon has stated his intention of working on less of the tv-series and pilots that force him to compromise his visions, in favor of more qualitative features and mini-series, such as _Salem's Lot (2004) (TV)_.- Actor

Zlatan was born in 1981 in Malmö, Sweden. He received his first pair of football boots at the age of five and it was obvious even at this early age that he had the potential to become an extraordinary footballer. He grew up in the infamous neighbourhood Rosengård known for being one of Sweden's roughest areas, but this did not hinder him. After playing for a local Swedish Club for a couple of years he transferred to Malmö FF in his teens, and it was here he started to pursue a career as a professional footballer.
Zlatan progressed through Malmö FF's youth academy and his breakthrough at senior level came during the 1999-2000 season when he played for Malmö FF's first team under coach Roland Andersson. Zlatan surprised Sweden with his superb technique and great goal scoring ability. As a determined 18 year-old he had already at this point decided that he was going to play for Sweden in the World Cup 2002 in Japan and Korea.
After being perused by top Clubs all over the world, Zlatan finally decided to transfer to Ajax and he joined the Amsterdam club in July 2001. He received the number 9 shirt, which was previously worn by Nwankwo Kanu, Patrick Kluivert and the legendary Marco van Basten. After playing for Sweden's Under-21s, the Swedish National Team managers Tommy Söderberg and Lars Lagerbäck chose Zlatan to play his International debut against the Faroe Islands in Sweden in January 2001, and since then Zlatan has been a part of the Swedish National Team.
Zlatan ended his first season at Ajax, just like he started it, on top. He scored the golden goal in the Dutch Cup Final against Utrecht and Ajax won both the League and the Cup. His success continued when he was selected as one of 23 players for the Swedish squad in the World Cup 2002, where he played against Argentina and Senegal.- Director

Edvard Persson began his career with small parts at the Folkets Hus theater in Malmö. At the age of 18 he joined a traveling theater company, Opera Comique. Soon enough he was given the leading roles in operas and operettas. The company traveled around Sweden with plays such as Värmlänningarna or The Merry Widow. It was here he met Ellen Rosengren in 1909, an actress who eventually became his first wife. They were hired by the Apollo theatre in Helsinki, Finland, where they spent the following seven years.
In 1919 he came back to the Folkets Hus theatre in Malmö. He played his first parts as a comedian and got an instant breakthrough. During the 1920s his fame increased, both by theater and silent movies. In 1932 he got a contract with the newly formed Europa Film and achieved a national breakthrough with The Southsiders (1932). Edvard Persson was primarily a comedian, not a character actor. In movies like South of the Highway (1936) or Kalle på Spången (1939) he is the good-hearted patriarch who has to face an external danger, threatening the traditional way of life and the security of the people. In many of his movies he is a populist, anti-intellectual, prejudiced, patriot with a back-to-nature philosophy.
The peak of his career was his tour in USA 1946. In Chicago he had an audience of 21,000 people. At the end of the 1940s his popularity dwindled, and after 1950 it went downhill because of awful screenplays. Although he was in bad health he continued to make movies almost until his death.- Actor

Martin Munthe was born Karl Martin Emanuel Söderberg in Malmoe, Sweden in 1970. His biological father is Lasse Söderberg a poet who brought writers like Octavio Paz to the attention of the Nobel Prize in Literature through his translations to Swedish. His mother Ingrid was a model and Munthe spent his early childhood in Paris. His mother shared an apartment with super model Twiggy and as a baby he was surrounded by people like Roman Polanski and Miles Davis in the fashion circuit of Paris. Anette Lykke Lundberg, a now famous Swedish film editor, was his babysitter in Paris and later - when his mother moved back to Sweden - Rolf Sohlman had him follow around different movie sets - in particular the movies of Hasse & Tage. His stepfather Lorne Munthe de Wolfe, a Swedish pop star, entered early in his life and he had a baby sister, Lisa Munthe, who is also a director.
Munthe grew up in Stockholm and initially wanted to become a cartoonist. But through a childhood friend in school he started making Super 8 movies. His friends father was film director Jonas Cornell and the family where neighbors to actor Gösta Ekman. The director and actor was in the process of making the very first Jönssonligan movie. Munthe has been making films ever since that period and started his first production company at the age of 20.
Art, writing, film and music played center stage in his family. His grandparents, both artist, was close friends to Harry Schein who founded the Swedish Film Institute. But living in the city of Stockholm as a teen Munthe claims his finally decided on a career as a filmmaker in his late teens after having small "elevator talks" with his then neighbor Stellan Skarsgård on what made movies interesting and good.
In the 90's Munthe was one of Swedens most established music video directors working with many stars of that era of the Swedish pop exports. Denniz Pop - who founded Cheiron Studios where producer Max Martin got his start - took a liking to Munthes videos and he worked with many of the producers surrounding that time and place - like Dr Alban. For several years in the 90's Munthe tried to have his first feature film produced starring actor Ernst-Hugo Järegård. A passion project that never saw fruition.
In 2000 Munthes first feature film Hjärta av Sten was released theatrically. Munthe has been heavily involved with visual effects and emerging digital technologies for his entire career as well as working in the advertising industry. He has been working in many roles like second unit director and cinematographer and have worked with most of the current successful Hollywood Swedes. Born in Sweden to Slovak parents, Robert Holik is fluent in Swedish, Slovak and English. When he was 6 years old he decided he wanted to become an actor more than anything in this world and at 12 years old he had his first acting job in a Swedish commercial. Since then he is a working actor all over the word. As his natural accent is American he is often mistaken for an American and often plays American characters such as his key supporting role as Philippe in "Pan American" starring Eric Roberts and more. However he has an "ear for accents" and accents are his speciality, he has played everything from Macedonian, Swedish to British characters.
